I just returned from a wonderful southern wedding in Auburn, Alabama. My beautiful niece Meg married her best friend Cory last Saturday. It was held at a beautiful venue, Water Oak Manor. It is a Greek Revival home that was built in the 1840’s. The classic details and southern charm of the house have been preserved, while all the important updates were completed in 2009. Water Oak Manor is a historic home nested under ancient water oaks and magnificient magnollias.
With thunder overhead and rain threatening, they exchanged the most incredible and heartfelt vows I have heard in a very long time. Luckily, the weather cooperated and the evening continued with amazing food, music, dancing, delicious cake and good friends and family. Congratulations to the happy couple and welcome to the family Cory!
